Committees

The Chamber’s success is due to our members’ dedication to each other. The following committees are comprised of volunteers who wish to make a difference and help the Chamber work for you. These groups meet monthly (September – June) and work on long-term projects for the Chamber. If you are interested in becoming a part of any committee, please contact the Chamber office.

Business Education
The Business Education is charged with bringing low cost, high impact business seminars to strengthen your business through monthly workshops and Leadership breakfast presented by experts.

Ambassadors
The Ambassadors are our public relations experts, marketing and “Chamber welcome wagon.” Members plan and implement monthly networking mixers to help Members make connections, expand their client base and socialize.  The committee also adopts a deserving organization every year and helps promote them by encouraging donation at all events. Ambassadors are present at all Chamber events.

Government Relations
Government Relations Committee help build strong relationships with our local, state, and national legislators.  The committee plan and implement our legislative breakfasts and Meet the Candidates Forum annually.  The committee provides Chamber members a unified voice with government as well as opportunities to meet them face to face at numerous events during the year.

Finance
Oversee administration of Chamber budget, budget preparation, expense approval, oversee Chamber investments, make recommendations for bi annual audit.  Report at monthly Board meetings and present monthly Treasurer’s report.

Project Teams

The Chamber’s success is due to our members’ dedication to each other. The following project teams are comprised of volunteers who meet as needed to accomplish short-term Chamber fundraising projects.

Annual Membership Drive
This high profile group plans and implements annual or bi-annual membership drives to increase Chamber membership size. Group members help day of drive to recruit members and deliver new member packages. A great opportunity to meet the who’s who of Salem County.

Best of Salem County Celebration Planning
This group helps to plan and promote the annual Best of Salem County awards celebration including choosing location and menu, and increasing awareness of this program as a great opportunity for area small businesses.

Spring Banquet
This high-energy group plans our Annual Spring Banquet including location, menu, sponsor recruitment, entertainment, etc. The Spring Banquet is our largest fundraiser, helping to keep our dues structure low for members.

Celebrating Women in Business Event Planning
This event is the only one of its kind in the tri-county area, created by successful women in business for today’s businesswoman. Group recruits location and sponsors, seeks out high quality seminar presenters. determines symposium content and chooses recipient of the annual Crystal Rose Award for Lifetime Achievement.
