Our story begins with knowing a true superhero. Dee lived everyday with no regrets and to its fullest. She was average and had bills she could not pay due to her illness. She never wanted to burden her family, so she didn’t ask for help. She had been receiving bills in the mail for months for medical treatments. One day the bills just stopped, she insisted her mother had found out and paid it off.

It wasn’t until after her passing that we found out Dee had a true Angel walking alongside her here on Earth. Dee had confided in a friend about the bills. This friend took matters into her own hands and paid the bills off. She never mentioned it to Dee, and Dee passed never knowing how good of a friend she really had. To this day the friend does not want to be recognized for her actions, but please know that she is loved and appreciated beyond words.

After being told of this story we decided that in Dee’s memory No Cancer patient would suffer with the stress of paying for medical care. It was then that we decided The Dolores Romero Foundation would serve as a financial liaison between the patient and the needed medical assistance. We believe no patient should have to choose between medication and their bills.
